Enabling Social Innovation Where It Matters Most
We support selected social enterprises and impact-driven initiatives through partnerships, knowledge sharing, and targeted support — with a focus on long-term, sustainable impact.
What we do
Impaktera acts as an enabling organization for social innovation. We support social enterprises and mission-driven initiatives that develop sustainable solutions to societal challenges — particularly in health, education, water, and responsible resource use.
We do not implement aid projects directly. Instead, we focus on strengthening the organizations and people behind effective solutions.

We believe in innovation with purpose. We support social, ecological, and technological innovations that address real societal challenges and improve lives sustainably.
Community & Participation
We believe in participation. Lasting solutions emerge when communities are actively involved in shaping and owning the change that affects them.
Collaboration
We believe in collaboration across sectors. By connecting civil society, business, and science, we enable solutions that no single actor could achieve alone.
Integrity & Transparency
We believe in integrity and transparency. As a Swiss non-profit association, we act independently, transparently, and reinvest all resources exclusively into our mission.
Knowledge & Learning
We believe in sharing knowledge. Education, workshops, and open exchange are essential to spreading proven practices and scaling impact responsibly.
Volunteer Spirit
We believe in commitment beyond profit. Impaktera is driven by voluntary engagement and a shared belief that impact matters more than personal gain.
Why Social enterprises matter:
There are around 10 million social enterprises worldwide. These organisations put purpose before profit, operating across sectors and geographies.
Social enterprises generate about $2 trillion in annual revenue. That's roughly comparable to major global industries, showing their economic significance as well as social impact.
They create an estimated 200 million jobs globally. This means social enterprises are major employers — often in underserved or high-need areas.
